Model Yacht Design

Motor yachts and sailboats are custom designed to your yacht specifications, color-scheme and equipment. Each model is a unique one-off model and hand-build from scratch in my workshop/studio in Whitby. A side view of the CAD design of an extensively modified and upgraded 78' North Coast model is shown directly below.

Model yacht design differs in many ways from model tallship design, partly because of the different elements and materials each is, or was made of. The hull design process is similar for both. Shown below is a CAD model of all the sections used to create a scale model hull of a Johnson 87' super-yacht.
