Maintaining your model ship

Our model ships will hold up well in most, if not all conditions. Some of our early yacht models, under harsh condition such as heat and extreme humidity, could develop small cracks in the hull.

Our current method of constructing yachts has changed from solid hardwood to a plank-on-frame construction. The hull is subsequently coated in our own epoxy-resin recipe. This method creates a hull which is extremely strong, resilient and resistant to any environmental conditions, and will hold up for generations.

If your model ship does become dusty, use a hairdryer on cold to blow off the dust. Make-up brushes are ideal for reaching harder to clean spots and areas, they're of the right consistency; not too hard, not too soft.

Acrylic and glass covers should be cleaned with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive cleaning agent, cleaning solutions for big screen TV's work very well. For more, see our Model Display Recommendations Page.
